Description
The aim is to mitigate the effects of drought, identified as one of the main critical issues facing cross-border territories in the coming years. The project aims to strengthen transboundary water governance and promote actions to counter the negative effects of climate change on the territory and its biodiversity, promoting the involvement of the population in the logic of participatory planning. The project defines a cross-border strategy and action plan with a set of actions aimed at increasing the resilience of the territory, focusing the action on four axes:
1. Reduction of water waste (efficiency)
2.Creation of mini-mares and restoration of groundwater (accumulation)
3.Reducing consumption (civic education)
4.Definition of governance tools to mitigate the impact of urban water treatment plants in water scarcity contexts.
